DIRECT SCHOOL ADMISSION (DSA)
Sports and Games / Performing Arts/ Leadership & Uniformed Groups/ Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
FOR ADMISSION TO SECONDARY ONE IN 2027
Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.
Students who are admitted through DSA, will be expected to remain and honour his commitment to the DSA School that he is posted to, for the duration of the programme that he has applied for and been admitted into for Sec 1 to Sec 4.
Male students from primary schools completing their PSLE examinations in academic year 2026, who meet the following criteria, are invited to apply for Direct School Admission to St. Patrick’s School:

Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply. The school will assess applicants based on the selection criteria, which may include assessing the potential of the applicants.
Please note that meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted/given an offer.
The school's decision on the offer is final. We regret that no appeal will be entertained. The school reserves the right not to disclose the reason for non-selection of an applicant or to release the results of the trials.

All applicants should fulfil the age requirement for Secondary 1 admission in 2027

Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents must be born between 2 Jan 2010 and 1 Jan 2015

International Students (non-SC/PR) must be born between 2 Jan 2012 and 1 Jan 2015

International students must take part and fulfil the requirements of the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS) before they can be considered for admission to secondary school via DSA-Sec. Overview of St Patrick’s School DSA Selection Criteria
Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the student’s area of talent.
Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply. The school will assess applicants based on our selection criteria, which may include assessing the potential of the applicants.
We seek parents’ understanding that meeting all our selection criteria does not guarantee that your son will be shortlisted or given an offer. Due to different profiles of applicants, selection/ shortlisting trends may differ year on year.
Audition & Panel Interview
For Performing Arts:
1. Applicants are required to attend a trial/audition for the respective performing arts.
2. Applicants are required to play a piece of their choice on their instrument. Applicants will also be given a separate piece to sight-read followed by a short listening test.
3. Applicants are to bring their own instruments for the audition. Only percussion instruments and piano will be provided for audition.
4. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview on a separate date.
For Sports and Games:
1. Applicants are required to attend a trial for the respective sports.
2. Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for additional trials and/or interview.
3. Applicants are to bring their own personal sporting equipment or gear for the trials.
For Leadership and Uniformed Groups:
1. All applicants are required to attend an interview.

All applicants will be required to declare any medical status at the start of their trials / auditions for safety reasons.
DSA Timeline
Application for DSA-Sec can be submitted through the online DSA-Sec Portal. The application is free-of-charge and will be open from 6 May 2026, 11.00am to 2 June 2026, 4.30pm. Please follow the instructions in the DSA-Sec Portal carefully.
