DIRECT SCHOOL ADMISSION (DSA)
Sports and Games / Performing Arts/ Leadership & Uniformed Groups/ Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
FOR ADMISSION TO SECONDARY ONE IN 2026
Male students from primary schools completing their PSLE examinations in academic year 2025, who meet the following criteria, are invited to apply for Direct School Admission to St. Patrick’s School:

Represented School/Club/Academy in any tournaments or any local / overseas competitions. |

Participated in National Inter School Championships or any local / overseas competitions, or Be able to demonstrate talent / attributes in track & field. |
Badminton
|
Participated in National / Zonal Inter School Championships or any local / overseas competitions, or |
Floorball |
Be able to demonstrate talent / attributes in badminton / Floorball. |
Tennis |
Participated in National Inter School Championships. or Participated in tournaments organised by SPEX, Intermediate or KLM. or

Golf |
Minimum USGA Handicap Index of not more than 24.0 (as of

Cricket |
Represented School / Club in SCA competitions or equivalent.

Leadership & Uniformed Groups (NPCC, Scouts)

Hold key leadership positions in any school Leadership Boards (eg Head or Deputy Head Prefect, etc) or Uniformed Groups in their primary school and Demonstrated exemplary character and leadership in their primary school |
Media/Journalism |
Demonstrated exemplary character and leadership in their primary school and Articulate and comfortable in front of a camera. |
Community Youth Leadership |
Demonstrated exemplary character and held executive leadership appointment(s) in their primary school. and Demonstrated evidence of positive impacts on the school community |
Computational Thinking Skills |
Possess basic programming knowledge on Micro:bit or LEGO® Mindstorm® or Has participated in local or international coding-related competitions (eg, National Robotics Competition, First LEGO® League, etc) |
Applicants who do not have prior experience may also apply. The school will assess applicants based on the selection criteria, which may include assessing the potential of the applicants.
Please note that meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted/given an offer.
The school's decision on the offer is final. We regret that no appeal will be entertained. The school reserves the right not to disclose the reason for non-selection of an applicant or to release the results of the trials.
Applicants not studying in MOE mainstream primary schools:

Selection Criteria
Audition & Panel Interview
For Performing Arts:
1. Applicants are required to attend a trial/audition
for the respective performing arts.
(Trial dates will be notified on school website by 4th July
2025)
2. Applicants are required to play a piece of their choice on their instrument. Applicants will also be given a separate piece to sight-read followed by a short listening test.
3. Applicants are to bring their own instruments for the audition. Only percussion instruments and piano will be provided for audition.
4. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview on a separate date.
For Sports and Games:
1. Applicants are required to attend a trial for the respective sports.
(Trial dates will be notified on school website by 4th July 2025)
2. Only shortlisted applicants will be invited for additional trials and/or interview.
3. Applicants are to bring their own personal sporting equipment or gear for the trials.
For Leadership and Uniformed Groups:
1. Applicants are required to attend an interview.
(Interview dates will be notified on school website by 4th July 2025)
· All applicants will be required to declare any medical status at the start of their trials / auditions for safety reasons.

Application Process
1. Application can only be done through the DSA-Sec Portal from 7th May, 11am to 3rd June 2025, 3pm. For more details, please refer to MOE website – https://www.moe.gov.sg/secondary/dsa
2. Please follow the instructions in the DSA-Sec Portal carefully.
3. Parents and students are encouraged to choose schools wisely based on the student’s aptitudes and strengths, bearing in mind the schools’ academic and non-academic requirements, and the programmes available to develop the area of talent.
4. Students who are admitted through DSA, will be expected to remain and honour his commitment to the DSA School that he is posted to, for the duration of the programme that he has applied for and been admitted into for Year 1 to Year 4.
