‘Creating a vibrant community which uses technology to learn, innovate and collaborate’
The ICT department is dedicated to ensuring our school’s ICT implementation is in line with MOE’s ICT Masterplan 4 vision of grooming future-ready and responsible digital learners.
Department Events and Achievements
- Home-based Learning
In 2020, covid-19 fast-forwarded our ICT integration plan by manifolds. Our school will roll out the use of personalized digital learning devices for every student from Secondary 1, 2 and 3 by June 2021. This will better enable students to acquire digital skills and apply these skills as they navigate an increasingly digitalized world.
- Teacher as designers of learning
A core group of ICT champions source and experiment new ideas and spearhead the infusion of ICT in school. In 2020, we introduced and trained our teachers in the use of teaching and learning apps, like Zoom, Remind, Screen-cast-o-matic, and also enrolled everyone into our Google firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Cyber wellness
As the use of ICT increases in the lives of our students, the need to educate them to be responsible, respectful, balanced and astute in using the Internet also becomes very important. Apart from the cyber wellness lessons carried out by their Form Teachers, we also believe that the home environment is key in shaping a child’s online behaviour.
