Legion of Mary

CCA Events and Achievements

There are 7 groups of the Legion of Mary also known as praesidia.  This CCA helps to promote Catholic activities in school which include contact-work by helping others to walk in the footsteps of the Lord as well as helping to lead the Daily Morning Prayer at the Chapel and the leading the Schools Morning Assembly Prayer. Members share the faith with others and are given miraculous medals, rosaries, spiritual books to strength their faith. Members also help in the organization of school events like Masses and prayer services. This year the school organised the Annual General Reunion for all Junior Legionaries.

CCA Training Schedule

The Legion meets every week in separate praesidia for prayer, sharing and reporting on the allocated work assigned the previous week. The training espoused by the Legion is the master-apprentice system whereby the learning takes place as the work is being done.  On reporting at the meeting, how the allocated work has progressed, the experienced members will help guide the younger members.

Officers of the 7 praesidia also attend the monthly Curia meeting which are both online and physical whereby prayers and sharing of best practices of the work done by various schools are reported.

Nine senior members of the Legion from the nearby parishes also help to guide our Legion members at every meeting.
