Legion of Mary

CCA Events and Achievements
There are 7 groups of the Legion also known as praesidia. The Legion helps to promote Catholic activities in school which includes contact-work by helping others to walk in the footsteps of the Lord as well as helping to lead the Daily Morning Prayer at the Prayer corner and the Morning Assembly Prayer. The giving out of miraculous medals, rosaries, spiritual books and sharing the faith with others are part of the work of the Legion. Members also help in the organization of school events like Masses and prayer services.
CCA Training Schedule
The Legion meets every week in separate praesidia for prayer, sharing and reporting on the allocated work assigned the previous week. The training espoused by the Legion is the master-apprentice system whereby the learning takes place as the work is being done. On reporting at the meeting, how the allocated work has progressed, the experienced members will help guide the younger members.
Officers of the 7 praesidia also attend the monthly Curia meeting at St Joseph’s Institution whereby prayers and sharing of the work done by various schools are reported and where there is the sharing of best practices.
Four senior members of the Legion from the nearby parishes also help to guide our Legion members at every meeting.
